+Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of a clinical Aromatherapists who provide therapeutic treatments to address a range of health issues. The HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy course is an exciting and specialised course which will guide students through a journey of this very popular complementary therapy.

Throughout the course, students will learn about aromatic essential oils and their many benefits for physical and mental wellbeing. In addition to Aromatherapy being used for massage treatments, students will learn to make their own skin care products and soap. No prior massage knowledge is required to commence this course.

Clinical Requirements
Students enrolled in the HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy
are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of Student Clinic
which includes 60 Aromatherapy Massages. Student Clinic gives
students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and
practical techniques in realistic environments. All Practical Experience
is under the supervision of a qualified Trainer & Assessor

+Units of Competency

20 Units of Competency are required for award of this qualifications consisting of 16 Core Units and 4 Elective units. Students must have also completed a minimum of 120 hours of Student Clinic.

      • A minimum of Australian Year 12 or equivalent


+Clinic Requirments

Students enrolled into the HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of Student Clinic which will include 60 one hour Aromatherapy Massages. Student Clinic gives students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and practical techniques in realistic environments. All Practical Experience is under the supervision of a qualified Trainer & Assessor or Work Place Supervisor.

Graduating HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy students have a range of clinic environments and which may include employment or self employment as a:

  • Clinic Supervisor


+Association Recognition

MTI ensure that our courses meet training package requirements which will allow you to choose the Massage Association of your choice. After successfully completing the HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy qualification students are able to apply with leading Massage Associations for recognition and insurance. Health Fund Provider Numbers are only available to those who hold a HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage (or equivalent) qualification. Additional study is required to obtain this qualification
